Glacial meltwater flowing across Iceland’s highlands often forms intricate networks of rivulets, shaped by subtle variations in sediment and terrain. When viewed from above, these patterns can take on unexpectedly figurative forms.

As a Scandinavian country, Iceland is naturally inhabited by trolls. After this image was photographed, it was duplicated and mirrored in post-processing, revealing a powerful and mysterious figure. This one appears to favour the highlands, where it can remain largely undisturbed, revealing itself only when viewed from the right angle.

Hall of the Mountain King is available as a 44 x 55 cm print, in a signed, limited edition of 10. It is professionally printed on 300 gsm smooth cotton Fotospeed paper and can be purchased unframed or framed.
